Great first time eating haggis Lives up to the reviews. The haggis was excellent and the host is very friendly with excellent service. I had the red wine gravy sauce and it was very tasty. Great value.

Found him! Check his facebook to see where to find him next. We were lucky this weekend Haggis in a Box was at the Grassmarket! If you are hungry - buy one each. Sooooo tasty! Mustard sauce is yum. Definitely recommend, for £6 a box you are getting a tasty bargain here.

Had a meal from them when visiting Abbotsford Great food and nice people. First time in 112 days that I have had a meal I haven't had to cook myself, and it was delicious

When in Scotland.... I'd never tried haggis and I was a little reluctant but I have to admit that it was absolutely fantastic. Perfect portion size for price, guy that served us was incredibly friendly and even came over to check we were enjoying it. Not what you usually get from a takeout! Two sauce options, one is a red wine gravy and the other a whisky, creamy mustard type one, and they were both delicious. Honestly wish we hadn't left our visit here until our last day because we'd definitely have been frequent visitors otherwise!

You’ve got to do this if you’re in Scotland!! Rather than eat this in a traditional restaurant we saw this place as we walked into the Grassmarket. Perfect portion size and they even catered for my vegetarian daughter! Definitely try this if you’re in the area!

Most Do Novelty We have been in Edinburgh for a month and saved trying haggis until we could swing by here; glad we waited. The novelty factor alone made the wait worth it; referring to both the food and the "box" sized establishment from which it is sold. We sat outside on a public bench on a mixed clouds/sun early March windy afternoon with temperatures in the low 50's. Perfect. Can't beat the experience for £7.00.

Una fermata obbligatoria Sicuramente una tappa obbligata per chi vuole assaggiare uno dei piatti tipici della cucina Scozzese a un prezzo da Fast Food e poi c'è anche la simpatia e la gentilezza di Peter.Non ci sono posti a sedere se non nella piazza stessa ma va bene una fermata.

The best haggis! I had the vegan haggis with the whisky & mustard sauce. It was so good and we had a chat to Peter who runs The Haggis Box. He's a super friendly guy and while we were chatting he noticed we'd run out of sauce and poured some more on. Top notch food and we'll be there tomorrow as well 🙂
